The AIMA Big Sur 2.0 is a full-size fat-tire e-bike built for riders who want a stable, comfortable bike with plenty of power and the ability to handle a wide variety of terrain. Compared with the smaller-wheeled Big Sur Sport 2.0, the 26" wheels give the Big Sur 2.0 a more traditional full-size bicycle feel. The larger wheels roll smoothly over rough surfaces and obstacles, while the 4" wide tires provide plenty of traction, stability, and cushioning. It's a particularly good choice for riders who prefer a larger bike with a planted, confidence-inspiring ride.

The Big Sur 2.0 is available in Regular and Large sizes, with AIMA recommending the Regular for riders approximately 5'1"–5'10" and the Large for riders approximately 5'3"–6'3".

Powerful BAFANG Drive System

At the heart of the Big Sur 2.0 is a 750W BAFANG rear hub motor paired with AIMA's selectable torque and cadence sensor system. In Torque Mode, assistance responds to how hard you're pedaling, creating a smoother and more natural bicycle-like feel. Switch to Cadence Mode when you want easier, more consistent assistance with less effort. A throttle-on-demand and five pedal-assist levels give you even more control over how you ride.

Power comes from a large 48V 20Ah (960Wh) removable battery with LG cells, with AIMA claiming up to 80 miles of range under favorable riding conditions. The battery can be charged either on or off the bike, making charging convenient whether the bike is stored in a garage, apartment, RV, or elsewhere.

Big Wheels for a Smooth, Stable Ride

The defining feature of the Big Sur 2.0 is its 26" x 4.0" fat-tire wheelset. The large-diameter wheels roll smoothly across uneven pavement, gravel, dirt, and rough trails, while the high-volume tires provide excellent traction and help absorb bumps and vibration.

The larger wheels also give the Big Sur 2.0 a more planted feel at speed. Combined with the ZOOM suspension fork with lockout, it's a capable choice for riders who want an e-bike that can comfortably transition between pavement, gravel roads, rail-trails, dirt paths, and light off-road riding.

Smart Features Built In

The Big Sur 2.0 uses the updated BAFANG E-System, including a color TFT display with sensor selection and connected features. Through the BAFANG Go App, riders can access navigation, ride records, battery information, display settings, and additional ride customization. The system also offers Apple Find My compatibility for iPhone users.

Integrated front and rear lighting, a brake light, rear turn signals, and an electronic horn make the Big Sur 2.0 especially well suited for everyday transportation and riding around town.

Built for Everyday Use and Adventure

AIMA equips the Big Sur 2.0 with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and oversized 203mm rotors, providing plenty of stopping power for a large, powerful e-bike. An 8-speed Shimano drivetrain with an 11-34T cassette gives riders useful gearing when pedaling with or without motor assistance.

The 6061 aluminum frame has a 400 lb. maximum payload capacity, while an adjustable stem, ergonomic grips, alloy platform pedals, and AIMA's enlarged comfort saddle help make the bike comfortable for longer rides. The electrical system is also UL 2849 certified.
